Chief of Police Darrell Volz
Darrell E. Volz has served as Chief of Police since March of 2015.
Chief Volz retired in June 2014 after 35 years at the San Antonio Police Department. His career covered all areas of a modern Police Department from patrol, property crimes, homicide and other violent crimes, covert undercover operations, prison gangs, dignitary protection, and criminal intelligence
Mr. Volz has been married for 34 years and has two sons who are pursuing college degrees. He is a Texan native and has lived in the San Antonio area his entire life.
