The responsibility of the Balcones Heights Fire Department is emergency response, support, and prevention for businesses and residents of the City and neighboring cities through mutual aid agreements. . Our emergency response services include:
- Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
- Fire Suppression
Staff members of the fire department are structural fire fighters and emergency medical technicians certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and Texas Department of State Health Services. Fire and Arson investigation services are also provided by the fire department.
The fire department plays an active role in community development through plans review and code enforcement in accordance with the International Fire Code.
